On August 18, 2008, I was having some much needed quiet time.  As I walked through the hallway of our apartment a few times, I kept passing Oswald Chambers’ My Utmost For His Highest.  I finally picked it up.  And I must tell you, I couldn’t remember the last time I picked up that book before that date. 

The devotion for that day referenced Luke chapter 18 which led me to Luke chapter 18 verse 27 “…what is impossible with men is possible with God.”  I instantly thought of how God can save anyone.  He even saves the convicts.  That is so cool, I thought.  Then God nudged me, “what about you?”   I couldn’t argue with that.  I mean, I definitely don’t have the cleanest past.  I was actually a very selfish alcoholic who walked over women to get what I wanted.  The two D.U.I.’s I received and the countless times I drove drunk, it is by the grace of God that I didn’t kill anyone.  And it wasn’t anything that I did to leave that past behind.  It was God who changed me.   

Once that was revealed to me the rest fell into place.  The idea of how a CD with testimonies of ex-convicts and how God saved them, and how that could be used for His Kingdom.  It could be handed out in the prisons.  But it didn’t stop there.  How about a CD with not just ex-convicts, but also ex-pimps, ex-prostitutes, ex-strippers, ex-homosexuals, and ex-whatever?  Not only a CD, but how about a web site as well?  

During 2007 and 2008, God put me in contact with people who have been delivered from their not so clean pasts.  Pasts like pimping, prostituting, stripping, drug dealing, etc.  People who now have ministries helping people get out of the lifestyle that had entangled them.  God has also used my friendships in the radio business and church to get my studio time and web site built at no cost.  Every person involved has donated their time to make this possible and for that I am very thankful!
